Info Post
During the travels of people on their lives, food is the basic need of it's body to function well. They have to eat healthy food. Sometimes, they prefer to eat what tastes good for their taste buds. Some prefer to eat healthy while saving the savory taste of their food. Some just want everything that is delicious. No matter what the taste is, sweet, sour, spicy, bitter, salty, Filipinos couldn't just resist to eat food that they want, whether it is foreign or native or even exotic, they will eat it gullible.

Off the food that I have always encounter at home, my dad's Pancit is one of the common thing that I always eat when it is snack time. It got different version depending on ingredients present in the house. Or how many hours he got to cook. It just happens that what my dad cooks, My sister and is always there to help him and in the process, we have learned how my dad cook Pancit. So, I'll give you one of the Pancit that he cooked this morning to start the week.

Bolinao Pancit Canton:

Not your very traditional Filipino Pancit when it come to ingredients and how it is cooked. This recipe is a little salty than it was suppose to be but it got a nice taste when you add a citrus flavor on it after it is served in your plate.

The ingredients:
  • 1/4 Chicken Kidney
  • 1 whole Chicken Breast
  • Medium Size Cabbage
  • A Cup of Soy Sauce
  • Pancit Canton
  • Cooking Oil
  • Crushed Garlic
  • Diced Onion
Well, that was very much of it. Not much compared to other recipes that is cooked in the Philippines is it? Now, for the procedures:
  • Boil the chicken breast until it is good for chopping. Don't let the chicken to be cooked in boiling water. (I don't exactly know how many minutes it will take the chicken to be ready, I am just looking at its color when it looked like it is half cooked.)
  • Chop the breast in small cubes leaving out bones of the chicken.
  • Saute Diced onion until golden and then the garlic. This will make the the food a little less sweeter and with much more taste. And when the Garlic looked golden brown, put on the kidney to cook it, next will be the breast.
  • Chop the cabbage into thin strips and dispose the hard area. You can't eat the stem and will make a bad impression for the food when mixed. Put it on the pan when the kidney and the meat is ready.
  • Put the canton noodles when the liver, the meat of the chicken and the cabbage looks like it would be ready to eat.
  • Fry the noodles and put on soy sauce for taste and a cup of water for the sauce.
  • When the noodles are soft from cooking, serve hot.
That was pretty much it! We can finish the recipe in just thirty minutes and even with little experience in cooking, you can also do it. The ingredients can be found easily in your local market. No need to buy expensive things or ingredients just to cook a mouth watering food.
