Robotics Notes: A Peek to the Future?

One of the interesting anime to those who wants a mecha-type and mystery genre shows and of scientific in a way. I first like this anime because of the interesting story line of the first episode but didn't know what will happen next that lead me into watching something quiet frightening if you were about to think for our future. Why? Before I answer that question, let me introduce you what anime I am talking about.

Robotics Notes Preview:

2019, the near future, where a device popularly called the PokeCom, packaged with PhoneDroid OS, spreads, bringing the Augmented Reality world close to existence.

Chuuoutanegashima High School's Robot Research Club is in danger of losing its club status. Kaito Yashio, one of only two members, is only obsessed with robot fighting games, showing no interest in the Robot Club even in this situation. The reckless, useless club head, Akiho Senomiya, aims to complete a giant robot, struggling hard to avoid losing the club's status.

Then, one day, Kaito discovers the A.R. annotation that becomes the Kimishima Report. Written in that report is the indictment of someone named Ko Kimishima's conspiracy involving the world.

The Interesting Part:

What are these interesting parts that made me dig deeper into the story? The Kimishima Reports that is. What are the Kimishima reports? These are a set of Conspiracy Theories on which is focused on how many people will die(I can't think of a better word), through the effect of solar flare (Since some reports are not clear yet). When Reading and then analyzing it, there are several things that people might want to fear since it involves the overall living of humanity by the near future. Uprising robots are one of the highlights of the story. It can be a little realistic because, the robots in the anime doesn't have their own AI(Artificial Intelligence) to attack the citizens.

Report 1: Revealed in episode 5:

Kimijima talks about the solar storms that are coming in the near future that threatens humanity. He also mentions how NASA is covering it up with propaganda and that someone is out to kill him. Gargantuan solar flares will occur on 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2020. The already passed solar flare on 2015 will have the most effect on Earth and its magnetosphere. There we have it, the crux of the show. Remember that it is 2019 in Robotics;Notes as of the current episode. In other words, in the upcoming two solar flare, well on the episode I am in now, the solar flare on year 2019 just happened.

Report 2: Revealed in episode 8:

Kimijima warns about the increasing power of the Committee of 300. Kimijima talks about how the Committee plans to go forward with their "Human Domestication Project," a plan that entails reducing the human population to 1 billion and creating a unified government through propaganda. Kimijima ends his report by telling the person reading to watch out for the Kagome Kagome Song because the song has a symbolic meaning to them and that will can be found when the organization is experimenting.

Report 3: Revealed in episode 11: 

Kaito and Frau learn from Kimijima about the effects of the solar storm and the companies who are involved with robot production including Exoskeleton, a company that Misaki works for. Frau suspects the reports have a connection to her mother's disappearance and the death of the Gunvarrel staff. Also, Kaito watches the last episode of Gunvarrel that fits Kimijima's report after witnessing the horrific effects of the solar storms.

What Might Happen in the Future:

I am not exaggerating things that much but if you are going to think how people want to advance technology nowadays and from what is happening in our planet and to our sun, solar flares are becoming quite common. And with the growing knowledge about manufacturing robots, it is to no surprise that later in years, there will be robots in offices and household, and we only have to wait as to when will they attack people.

A look from Episode 13

A solar flare also struck Tokyo at the end of the episode sending everyone into chaos – mainly the robots that started attacking citizens. But the twist here is, these robots don’t have intelligence of their own – they’re merely being controlled by the Committee of 300 since I’m assuming Kona-chan is being framed. My question is, is this an artificially created solar flare as indicated by report no. 5?

This is my opinion alone for now, but these Conspiracy theories might actually be real and is unknown to the majority of the people. But who knows for sure expect for those who are involve on the research or on the experiment. 

This kind of twists and plots made me interested and find out what might actually happen and how will the robots play their part on the story? Something this large-scale conflict makes me wonder on what will the characters act next despite their characteristics over something. One innocent starting line and story flow but deep inside, there is a big issue to be solved. Who will believe them? And is there anyway to stop the annihilation of the numbers of people and the terror it will bring?

So what do you think? Is it too real for it to happen? Or do you have the feelings that this might actually happen in the near future? Whatever happens, all we have to do is to make what we think  is right and never to stop searching knowledge for us not to become ignorant of what will happen next.
