Info Post

I have been a big fan of a voice synthesizer program called Vocaloid and it keeps me entertained for years now since I found them on Youtube. Learning about the different Personalities of the Vocaloids, I happen to know another type of these music synthesizers these are called UTAUloids.

UTAUloids refer to voice banks that work on Vocal Synthesizer Tool UTAU, with accompanying anime-inspired avatars. They are segregated from being a Vocaloid is because to know what are the ones who are being run by the Yamaha's Vocaloid and Vocaloid2 platform, or those supplied with actual singing voices. It is quite easy to create "our own" UTAUloids which has resulted in a large boom of voice banks from all over the world.

Since these Voice Synthesizers are in a boom not only on Youtube.com but also in different video and music streaming sites, it is to no surprise that some Filipinos would come up to make their own UTAUloids. With their talents of music, it is to no surprise that they could make at least one or two of the UTAUloids.

Most Philippine-made voicebanks are bilingual or multilingual, due to the presence of more than one languages and dialects spoken as lingua franca.

Because of the syllables in Filipino are similar in sound to other SEA language utterances, their voicebanks may have the ability of automatic compatibility with other languages such as Bahasa, Japanese and Malay, however, this needs to be certified by the voicebank author.

The following are UTAU Voicebanks that originated from the Philippines.

1.) Kamirei

With black hair, red eye color, wearing Black coat with a ribbon at the back and with a nationality and/or race of Filipino-Japanese, named Kamirei.

This is one one of the first UTAUloid made by a Filipino that I heard since I read about the article on the net and made me to research and listen to other Filipino made UTAUloids. Kamirei has a good voice and can sing properly. Given that she would be used more and more people will know her more, developments can be done.

If you want to know more about Kamirei, you can go to his webpage or to utau.wikia.com

2.) Mino Shinya

Mino's real name is Marcelino Ebero Shinya. Mino Shinya is a half human and half fox that is born in the Philippines. He has a fox ear and a brown and orange hair, and with brown eyes but will always wears blue contact lens. His brown eyes can be seen when he is wearing his glasses rather than his lenses.Wears a jacket with the colors Red White Blue. It looks more like the Philippines Flag. Only the Sun and Stars remain. The zipper and the hood are gold.

Mino Shinya - Loveless

Ahh, one more detail for Mino Shinya, In Visayas, Philippines Mino means Evil spirit. And he is a gay since he grew up with only his sister as a friend.

I personally like the voice of Shinya and all. I think that he could fit to any genre of songs if he wants to. Too bad, there are only a limited Videos and music to hear more from him,

If you want to know more about Mino Shinya, you can visit these sites, handbear.nl and utau.wikia.

3.) Marie Nagano

Her Filipino name is Maria Yukiko Harana Nagano, she is vampire with a black hair, and her eye color ranges from Blue to Red depending on mood and thirst. Pink when she's in love or excited, and rarely, Black when she's depressed, usually purple.

I am not surprsied to see a vampire UTAUloid that is made by a Filipino since vampires are quiet popular in the country until now. She has a good voice and can sing well other Filipino songs like the popular kids' song "Ako ay May Lobo (I have a Balloon)".

4.) Janyori Doremine

With a green hair and a ponytail at the back and a wolf tail, and a victim of Lycanthropy, A Filipino UTAUloid name Janyori is next.

Janyori Doremine-Butterfly on Right Shoulder

Though there are some time on the songs that I listened to is quiet raw, I know that there are still a huge room for improvement. Doremine's voice is unique compared to other utauloid present now and I would wait for the development of these Utauloid. If you want to know more about Janyori Doremine you can either fo to utau.wikia or to Janyori's Den.

5.) Aliciané

With a tan colored ski and brown eyes and hair, coming from the beautiful land of the Philippines, multi-talented and an UTAUloid who really wants oranges, we have Aliciané.

Aliciané has cool voice and strong one pertaining to her personalities. Being tanned color represents that she could really be a Filipino since the skin color of most Filipinos are tan. Though, its hard to distinguish the voice of female utauloid from each other, you could say that her voice is, well, could be a little different.

Karakuri Pierrot - Aliciané

If you want to know more about the UTAUloid Aliciané, you can go to utau.wikia or to her website.

These are just the first five of the UTAUloids currently present that is made from the Philippines. There are 32 more at utau.wikia. And if you want to look at all of them, you can click at the website present.

These are just a sample of how really talented Filipinos are. With a little more use and development and popularity, they could mascot the country enough well. I salute to the makers of these UTUAloids and would like to hear more from them. So what do you think?
