Five Tips to Review During Exams

There are lots of ways on how to get good grades or results at your exam. Ways may be different per person but as long as you can get the knowledge, it will help you not only to the day of the exam but also to your very future. Reviewing can be a great way to get scores especially during quizzes or exams. I have listed my ways on how to get scores which make me proud every time I see my test sheet.

1.) Review ahead of time.

After the lesson or after the whole class session at school, it is advisable to make a review on what lessons your class had discussed. This will help you to remember and retain every words and every conversation that had transpired during the class. Reviewing ahead of time doesn't mean that you have to review all out, a little reading your notes every time you can, will help your brain to memorize the things that might appear on the test in the near future. It is basically like, listening to your favorite songs again and again and you unconsciously memorize every lyrics it had.

2.) Study at Your Best State.

If in any cases that you feel that you are not in a good state to study, it is advisable to take a rest. Forcing yourself to review while feeling down or ill, will just make you stressed out for not able to absorb what you are reading. A sound body shows a sound mental state.

3.) Read it Loud and Clear. Again!

It has been proven(at least for me) that reading while you are releasing sound and hearing yourself will stimulate your brain more and can remember almost all of what you are reading. You just have to repeat the keywords you want to know over and over again to effectively memorize what you are studying. With a little conversation to yourself and uttering the items you want to review in a clear and understandably, you might be able to memorize a subject or two in just a full night. Just make sure that you won't disturb someone in your family or the neighbor.

4.) Writing Down Notes.

If you are using a book and tired of flipping pages over and over again, this is what you have to do. A reviewer is your best friend. Writing down important items or just items you think will appear on the test on a separate notebook or piece of paper. This is an old technique used widely by many.

5.) Understanding is the Best Way.

Though memorizing all the items is good during exam, it is not still the best way though. Understand the lesson given to you and know the very essence of the lesson present will help you ace in the exam (at the very least, this helped me until now in my majors). Memorizing something means that you are just going to use it on a short term basis, sooner or later, when you don't need it anymore, it would just disappear. While understanding the subject, lessons will retain on you for a longer duration of time
