November had just ended and I forgot to post an anime that has good sense of horror. A mystery horror novel by Yukito Ayatsuji, published on October 29, 2009 by Kadokawa Shoten. The story focuses on a boy named Kōichi Sakakibara who, upon transferring into Yomiyama Middle School and meeting the curious Mei Misaki, finds himself in a mystery revolving around students and people related to his class facing gruesome, senseless deaths. A manga adaptation by Hiro Kiyohara was serialized between the May 2010 and January 2012 in the issues of Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace. Both the novel and the manga have been licensed in North America by Yen Press. A 12-episode anime TV series produced by P.A. Works aired in Japan between January 10 and March 27, 2012, and a live-action film was released in Japanese theatres on August 4, 2012. (another.wikia.com/wiki/Another_Wiki)
Me and My sister had just watched this quiet a long time ago, around August and we were thrilled about the story. It is interesting and the story was quiet unpredictable as the series of event goes on. Reviewing the anime, I could say that the animation was great. The story seems to be realistic when it comes to the horror tradition of the Japanese.
The setting of the story is really great for horror genres since it is out in a province of Japan where few people live and it is really dark when it comes to night.
The story in a common genre is about a group of friends or shall we say, a set of class where they are struggling for a one whole academic year to survive the said curse.
The plot goes like this, in the year, 1972, a popular student names Misaki who was in class 3-3 of the setting, Yomiyama North Middle School suddenly died partway through the academic year. Devastated by this unexpected loss, the students and teachers behaved like Misaki was still alive, leading to a strange presence on the graduation photo. In spring 1998, the protagonist Sakakibara transfers in that same school and class section, where he meets the perculiar Mei Misaki, who is seemingly being ignored by their classmates. The class is soon caught up in an epidemic where students, or people related to class 3-3 students, are caught up in mysterious deaths. Learning these deaths have something to do with the mystery of 1972, it is up to the main characters to discover the cause of these mysterious deaths and figure out how to put an end to it before it puts an end to them.
The story really caught us and is always waiting for the update of the anime. It was really good. Though, it might not be scary for me, but the way things go and how will the characters will escape this curse is a must watch and a must see.
Background Music playback is great, It could add to your viewing sentiments and could stimulate your brain to fear or to suspense. I downloaded the whole track and played it during the night. It sounds fitting.
I looked for a English Subtitled trailer but to no avail, So I am putting one of the original trailer.
If you want to wacth a Japanese Horror-Mystery show, I could recommend this one for you. There are bloody scenes but do not worry, It is censored. :D
